Ben Lindsey, 79 of Owensboro passed away on November 15, 2012, at his home. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 20, 1932. He was retired from Hon Company after 33 1/2years as a factory worker. He was a member of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his father, Archy Mane Lindsey; three brothers and one sister; and a brother-in-law. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Tresia Lindsey of Owensboro; two sons, Tommy (Kathleen) Lindsey of Owensboro and Timothy (Monica) Lindsey of Whitesville; three daughters, Debra (Terry) Clark, Lisa (Mark) Harmon both of Owensboro and Brenda (Gerald) Masterson of Hawesville; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; his mother, Vera Daffron Embry of Owensboro; a brother, Charles (Forest Ann) Lindsey of Owensboro. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Reverend Oda Shouse will officiate. The family requests that expression of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY. 42301.
