Betty Gerteisen
August 31, 1932 ~ June 26, 2013
Betty Gerteisen, 80, of Owensboro passed away June 26, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born August 31, 1932 to the late Jess and Gladys Rowans. Preceding her in death were her husband, Lindy Gerteisen and her sisters, Linda Clouse and Virginia Edwards. She retired from GE in 1989 after 38 years. She enjoyed working, being with her family and talking with her friends.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Rita) Gerteisen of Owensboro and Darrin Gerteisen of Knottsville; two sisters, Elizabeth Jarvis and Barbara Withrow of Central City and two brothers, Doug Rowans of Newburgh, IN and David Rowans of Owensboro; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Family would like to thank all friends and neighbors that stopped by to bring a smile upon her face while she was in the rest home.
At her request, there will be no visitation or services.
