Christine Kimbley, 92 of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born May 19, 1920 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Brone Ashton and Eura Pinkston Ashton. Christine was the oldest of six children, three of which preceded her in death, Leeland Ashton, Delbert Ashton, and Victoria Richard. She was married to William Kimbley, who passed away in 1998. They had eight children, two of which passed away in 2010, Bronie Kimbley, and Larry Kimbley of Lakeland, Florida. She is survived by six children: Marie Berkley of Owensboro, Kentucky, Max Kimbley of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Wanda McDuffy of Alvington, Kentucky, Martha Hoofer of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Darlene McClure of Henderson, Kentucky, Judy Carter of Spottsville, Kentucky. She had fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, James and Sherman Ashton of Detroit, Michigan. Services will be held at 1:00pm. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with burial to follow in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00pm.
