Gary Gabbard, 65 of West Louisville passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at his home. He was born on October 30, 1948 in Daviess County to the late Sam and Rosa Gabbard. He retired as a mechanic at MPD. He enjoyed playing cards, and driving his golf cart around visiting his friends and neighbors. He was a US ARMY veteran in the Viet Nam War. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Faye Gabbard; one daughter, Carey Lynn (Donnie) Richards of Owensboro; two sons, Michael (Caryn) Gabbard and Rob (Tina) Gabbard both of West Louisville; seven grandchildren, Caleb, Corey, Chloe’, Cylee, Cole, Charlie and Ty; one great-granddaughter, Paisley; one brother, Kimble Gabbard of Owensboro; a special aunt, Ila Mae Townsend of Owensboro. Services will be at 10:00am. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 2:00 to 7:00pm. Thursday and from 8:00 to 10:00am. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Joseph, Ky. Dan Simon will officiate.
