Gennie O’Flynn, 90, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born January 10, 1926 in Hunter, Arkansas to the late Noah and Mary Newton Benson. She was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She also is preceded in death by her husband, Jay K. O’Flynn in 1978, a daughter, Anna O’Flynn and a sister, Ann Fowler.
Surviving is a granddaughter, Brandi Knight and a grandson, Matthew Knight, both of Owensboro and a great granddaughter, Aubri.
A Graveside Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
