Josephine Head, 95, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at Owensboro Place Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 18, 1918 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Dominic and Mary Cordella Millay Payne. Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Robinson, her second husband, Chester Head, her siblings, Herbert Payne, William Owen Payne, James Carl Payne, Louise Settles, Daisy Glover, Chelsae Payne and her twin sister, Elesaea, who died at 3 years old and one son, Douglas Robinson, who died in 1974 at the age of 27. She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Allen) Payne of Owensboro, three grandchildren, David Payne, of Whitesville, Doug Payne, Cathy (Charlie) McCarthy all of Owensboro, 7 great grandchildren, Logan, Brodie, Nathan, Sarah and Wyatt Payne, Rhiannon Holinde and Isabella McCarthy, two stepsons, Eugene Head, Bobby Head, and Lucy Edge of Louisville. They were the joy of her life. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. William Catholic Church with Father Pat Bittel officiating and burial to follow in St. William Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.   3. This is my great grandmother. I remember when me and my brothers and cousins would be in the play room. And we would be to loud she would grab her walker and walk on over to the play room and yell as loud as she could yell ‘ you kids need to settle down b
