Kenny English

Kenny English, 69 of Owensboro passed away on September 17, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County, August 20, 1945 to the late Finis and Mary Evelyn Sosh English. He was retired after 16 years from Hausners Hard Chrome as a welder.
He was a member of the VFW and a US Army veteran, where he received a purple heart in Vietnam.
He enjoyed collecting Nascar and army memorabilia.
Aside from his parents he is preceded in death by son-in-law, John Pratt; a sister, Wanda Butler; a brother, Harold English.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Joyce English; daughters, Melinda Butler (Danny) and Paula Cissna (Larry) both of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Logan, Ashlyn, Jake, Tracey and Stephanie; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Heath and Reid.
His siblings, Donald English, Shelby Lashbrook, Doris Brown, Brenda Leslie, Bonnie Smith, Debbie Fulkerson, Judy Strange all of Owensboro and Freida Langtree of Daytona, Florida.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Rager officiating.
Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Nickel Ridge Cemetery.
