Mike O’Bryan, 55, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born January 21, 1961 in Owensboro to the late James B. and Dolores J. Falloway O’Bryan. He attended Bridgepoint and Crosspointe Baptist Churches and enjoyed fishing, camping and yardwork. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and worked at Alcoa for 15 years and Hon for 15 years. He was a liver transplant survivor and a member and administrator of Liver Transplant Support Groups. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, James H. Wall. Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Robin Wall O’Bryan; son, Scott (Crystal) Wall; grandchildren, Jaden Wall and Jamison Wall; sisters, Vicki Bradshaw Isom (Randy), Kathy Sue Ellis and Sandy Kaye O’Bryan; mother-in-law, Brenda Wall; sisters-in-law, Shirley Shown, Jaime Ballard and Kelley Wall; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his dog, Ginger. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Steve Cripps officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Ste. 2700, New York, NY 10006. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
