Nina Howard Strehl

Nina M. Howard Strehl, 90 of 2312 Venetina Way died 8-27-04 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born 1-17-14 to Leonard Herbert and Anna Izetta McPherson Howard in Whitesville, KY and was the oldest of 12 children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and a devoted member of Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards and crossword puzzles. Preceding her in death was her son, Philip Anthony Strehl in 2003 and a granddaughter, Katie Sims in 1982. Also preceding her in death were her 4 sister, Geralding, Martine, Virginia and Margie and brother, Joe. Surviving is her husband of 64 years Joseph A. Strehl. Also surviving are her children and their spouses, Gene Strehl & wife Jane of Owensboro, Ronnie Strehl and wife Mary Helen of Owensboro, Linda Field and husband Larry of Owensboro, Jerry Strehl of Somerset, David Strehl and wife Mary Jane of Owensboro, Pat Strehl and wife Marnita of Owensboro, Mary Kaye Jacobs and husband Bob of Norfolk, VA., Sue Fowler and husband David of Owensboro, daughter-in-law Gayle Strehl of Owensboro. 23 surviving grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Brothers: Drury Howard and wife Jennie, John Everett Howard and wife Bernadette of Owensboro. Sisters: Barbara Phelps of Dana, Ill., Angela Clark and husband Archie Bernard and Rose Mary Duncan and husband John all of Owensboro.
