Pat Parson, 66, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Louisville. She was born June 16, 1947, in Daviess County to Bill Hinton and the late Jean Kelly Hinton. She was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church and enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, “Coffee”. She was retired from the personnel department at Wal-Mart. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Parson, Sr. Aside from her father, she is survived by two children, LeAnn (Dwayne) Duke and James (Alison) Parson, Jr., all of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Dwayne Duke, Jr., Crystal Duke, Gabrielle Parson and Grant Parson; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Grayson, and Addie Beth Duke; and two brothers, Robin Hinton of Lewisport and Billy (Marsha) Hinton of Owensboro. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Skaggs officiating. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
