Sam Sanders

Sam Sanders, 82, of Owensboro, departed this earthly life into the arms of the Lord on March 26, 2018. He accepted Christ at an early age at Sweeney Street Missionary Baptist Church. He worked at Owensboro Linen Co., and also in construction. He was preceded in death by his parents Mona Higgs Sanders and Donald Louis Sanders, his brother James Sanders, his sister Lena Sanders, a nephew Sammy Gene Sanders, sons Jimmy and Ronnie Sanders and Charles Hatchett. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sally Sanders, four sons Kenny, Harold, Sr. Michael and Donnie Sanders, 1 daughter Mattie Booker, 2 brothers Robert Lee and Riley Sanders, 2 sister-in-law Mary Jo & Nancy Frazier, and a host of grandkids, great and great-great grandkids, nieces and nephews. Services will be Noon on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Sweeney Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the church.
