Terry Payne, 59, of Daviess County, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at home. He was born in Daviess County on May 13, 1955, to his surviving parents Leo Payne and Betty Powers McGrew. He was disabled. He was of the Baptist faith. Terry loved camping, hiking, watching UK basketball, NASCAR, and spending time in the mountains and skydiving. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Payne; and his stepfather, Charles McGrew. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Ann Payne; a son, Michael Scott Payne of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Zachary and Lindsay Payne; and a sister, Linda (Wayne) Winfield of Owensboro. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Dr. James Wedding officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Camp Quality Kentuckiana (Camp for children with cancer), PO Box 35474, Louisville, KY 40232.
