Coat Drive
Each year we collect and distribute coats to those with a
need in our community through the many nonprofit agencies
that offer assistance. In conjunction with a local dry cleaner,
coats are cleaned and then distributed. From local day-care
center and preschools to the Help Office, Boulware Center
and the Pitino Shelter, thanks to your generosity over 1,000
coats are distributed each year.

Calendars
Each year over 10,000 calendars are delivered to area churches.
The calendars have a religious theme and information specific
to the church on them. When you can't remember the telephone
number to the church office and someone didn't place
the telephone book where they got it -- just look on your
calendar.
We also have Sportsmen's Calendars available at the funeral
home. Each month depicts a different scene in nature with
beautiful animals from exotic mountain lions to birds and
fish as its focal point. Each still has plenty of room to
write those important numbers or mark those special birthday
or anniversary dates.
Church Picnics
Every year in our community from May until September, the
gathering places to see old friends and new faces are at the
various Church Picnics. With fellowship, fun and a good time
for all, we provide napkins to help with the savory sauces
from all of that wonderful B-B-Q chicken, pork, mutton, burgoo.
We also provide cups to hold some ice cream or an ice-cold
drink to make the times even more enjoyable.
Cups and napkins are also furnished to many churches in our
community to assist the bereavement committees. After a funeral,
many churches provide a meal for family and friends to enjoy
each other's company for an extended period and wonderful
food. Should a family choose to use our hospitality room,
the same amenities are always with reach.
Public Speaking Engagements
Should your club need a speaker for a monthly or weekly meeting,
feel free to call us. We are always willing to address such
gatherings as the informal nature allows for a more comfortable
setting to discuss a difficult topic and everyone always learns
from question and answer moments.
Funeral homes are like any business; many things happen that
you never think about. Who leaves their family during a holiday
meal, family gathering, or in the middle of the night to care
for you and especially your loved one; who cleans the building
after you have gone home; how did those flowers get to the
cemetery before you did; and just what do we do when no funerals
are scheduled? Although you may never see any of these activities,
we are always walking that extra mile with you. The old cliché
says it all, "Walk a mile in my shoes." Your friends
at Haley-McGinnis go as far as possible with you because as
you can see from all we do, before, during, and after the
funeral period, we are as much a part of living as we are
in helping you and our community cope with death.
Ornament
Each
year during the holiday season we distribute an ornament to
each family we have served during the previous year. The holidays
are especially difficult without family members and we are
honored to furnish each family with an ornament on their family
tree to celebrate the life of their loved one and honor their
memory during such a special time
