Betty Lattus

Betty Lattus, 92, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, July 9, 2016 in Henderson, KY. She was born in Daviess County, KY to the late Hubert and Teresa Powers. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she was very active and enjoyed attending daily Mass with her husband, Fred. She was also a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Alter Society. She retired from Mount St. Joseph after several years as an aid and enjoyed baking, sewing and bowling. She also sang the National Anthem at the Fleet Reserve where her husband was a member. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Fred Lattus in 2016, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a son, Ben (Becky) Lattus; a daughter, Janet Combs; six grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Curdsville. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.
