Catherine Gann, 92, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, Hermitage Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Sept. 4, 1925, in Muhlenberg County to the late John and Lona Ehlschide. She worked as a Beautician and owned and operated for many years the Eve Dell Beauty Salon. She was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching UK Basketball, but most of all she loved going to Church, and spending time with her family and friends. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James E.. Gann in 1990; and a daughter Dorothy 'Dottie' Lynn Bass in 2016 She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Joyce Yeiser of Owensboro; her son, James Larry Gann of Louisville; four grandchildren; Kris Lohman, Cody (Heather) Yeiser, Katrina Oost, and Jacob Bass; six great grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Smith, Matthew Lohman, Brittany (Zach Goatee) Oliver, Kaitlyn (Skyler Hawkins) Hidenrite, Michael Oost, and Sophia Yeiser; two great-great grandchildren, Kinleigh Hidenrite Hawkins and Mackenzie Smith; a sister, Louvena “Vee” Titus of Satellite, Beach, FL; a niece, Tara Jones; a nephew, Dirk (Denise) Titus; and several great nieces and nephews; Memorial services will be noon Monday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. The family of Ms. Gann will welcome family and friends after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Catherine Gann. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Wing Avenue Baptist Church, 628 Wing Ave., Owensboro, KY 42303. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.   1. I just picked up the Sunday paper and saw where Larry and Sandy’s Mom died. I’m so sorry. She was a faithful, devoted Christian with a wonderful heart of Gold. I wish the Gann family my deepest Condolences.
