David Rempe, 55, of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of April 19, 2017, surrounded by friends. He had been doing what he loved to do, riding with his Blue Grass Cycling Club family. He was born April 11, 1962 in Wheeling, WV to Jean K. Rempe and the late William Anthony Rempe. He was a Tech Support Manager with ProSys for 17 years. David was a member of the Blue Grass Cycling Club, Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity and of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed bicycling and golf and was a fan of UK, Cincinnati Reds and craft beer. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Lori Rempe and Carrie (Bill) Barr both of Lexington; 2 brothers, Doug (Gina) Rempe of Shelbyville and Mark Rempe of Owensboro; 5 nieces, Amber, Margaret, Ellen, Emily and Claire; and 4 nephews, Ben, Garrett, Wyatt and Tommy. A Gathering of Friends will be from 2 to 6 pm Monday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and ProSys Family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
