Gerald Jolly, 82, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1936 in Daviess County to the late William Jolly and Mable Davis Jolly. Gerald retired from Southwire after 34 years, where he worked as a Labor Foreman. He enjoyed cowboy movies, country music, and he loved his wildcats. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Loyd Jolly and Billy “George” Jolly and his mother-in-law, Mary Alice Allen. Gerald is survived by his wife of 55 years Margaret; his children: Gerald, Jr. (Becky) Jolly, Regina Lynn Owsley and David Dewayne Jolly; his grandchildren: Audra (Dustin) Blair, Nathaniel (Leah) Owsley, Jeremy (Tina) Jolly and Katrina Hatcher; his great-grandchildren: Ryan Locher, Ace Blair, Maggie Blair, Oliver Owsley, Samuel Owsley, Elijah Owsley, Jaxon Hatcher and Trenton Hatcher. He is also survived by his siblings Velva Roberts and Hazel Fulkerson. Services will be 11:00 am Friday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home.
