Glendora Kirk Underhill

Glendora Kirk Underhill, 80, of Owensboro passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Owensboro on September 21, 1938 to Finis Kirk and Amy McClure Kirk. Glendora was employed at Owensboro Mercy in housekeeping for 31 years. She was an active member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church, Clothes Closet and Nursery. Glendora enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, and sewing. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Everett Underhill Jr, her siblings, Lois Kirk, Dale Kirk, Finis Kirk Jr. and her aunt, Pearl Kirk. Glendora is survived by her children, Michael Ijames, Glenn Ijames, and Stephen Ijames, her grandchildren, Dakota Ijames, Tyler Ijames, her siblings Lattie Grimsley, and Billy Kirk. Services will be 12pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, with Brother Anthony Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am to 12pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Wing Avenue Baptist Church; 628 Wing Ave; Owensboro, Kentucky 42303.
