Jerry Haire, 71 of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018. He was born on December 27, 1946, in Daviess County to the late Preston Haire and Alma Shively Haire. He retired from Bryant Distributing Company where he was employed as a Route Driver.
He was a member of the Baptist faith
He enjoyed woodworking and camping.
He also was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Linda Adams Haire; a son, Paul Stephen Bennett; and a brother Larry Otis Haire.
He is survived by five sons, Mark Daniel Haire, James (Linda) Haire, Michael Bennett, Codee Frakes all of Owensboro and Ty (Cheryl) Bennett of Pace FL.; two daughters, Darlene (Jason) Higdon of Louisville and Kathy Bennett (Kenny) Sago of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Joe (Ellen) Haire of Owensboro; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Jollay and Pauline (Mike) Langdon both of Owensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

My condolences to all of the Jerry Haire Family. Jerry was a very nice shy lad and also very polite as I remember him. The Haire family and my family were neighbors during 50’s (Jones family), we worked for Preston and Alma after school and in the summer
