Lucille Embry

Lucille (Brooks) Embry, age 90, of Caneyville, passed away Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 at Grayson Manor Nursing & Rehab. She was born on Wednesday, March 31st, 1926 in Butler County, the daughter of the late Ike and Bertha (Wilson) Brooks. She was of the Church of Christ Faith. Lucille was a caregiver and homemaker. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Georgia Embry of Caneyville; one grandson, Chad Eric Embry of Caneyville and one sister- in-law, Betty Simmerson of NY. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stoy Embry, her son, Freeman Embry, one sister and two brothers.Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Mickey Coates will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Friday, January 13th after 2:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service.
