Nancy Drace, 79, of Owensboro, passed away November 5, 2017 at her home. She was born July 29, 1938 to the late James Havener and Catherine Basinger Havener. Nancy was a housewife and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts and was a collector of John Wayne memorabilia. Nancy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Billy Drace, Sr., three sons: Billy (Sharon) Drace, Jr. of Utica, KY; Tommy Drace and Jamie Drace of Owensboro, KY; two daughters: Marion “Gayle” (Ronnie) Clouse and Dorothy (Mark) Trogden of Owensboro, KY; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Jack (Diane) Hester of Owensboro, KY, and the love of her two dogs, Ginger and Zoe. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children; 2900 Rocky Pt. Drive; Tampa, FL 33607.   2. It is difficult to put 76 years of memories into words. Suffice to say, Nancy was more than a childhood friend…..she was the ‘sister’ with whom I shared the happiness and hardships of growing into adulthood. When Life got in the way, we remained close.
