Verble Embry, age 92 of Clarkson, passed away Saturday, December 21st 2019 at the Elizabethtown Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born April 19th 1927 in Morgantown, KY the daughter of Sydney & Bertha Mae Brooks.
She is survived by three children, Colon Drexel Casey, Sr., Carolyn Sue Morabito, & Daniel Bruce Embry, Sr., ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian W. Embry, her sister, Valor Lacefield, her brothers, Damon, Dubert, Donward, & Densel Brooks, two grandsons, Sean & Eris Embry, and one great grandson, Colon Casey, III.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday (Dec 23) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Union Chapel Cemetery in Morgantown. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
