Yvonne Basinger

Yvonne L. Basinger, 73, of Terre Haute, IN passed away January 10, 2020 in Evansville, IN. She was born June 17, 1946 in Gibson Co to the late Hershel and Rachel (Shain) Fetcher. Yvonne graduated from North Posey High School in 1964. She retired from Whirlpool after 30+ years. Yvonne was a member of Owensville First Christian Church and past union rep for Local 808. She enjoyed line dancing in her early years. Yvonne was an avid IU basketball fan and tried not to miss seeing a game. She loved to cook for her grandsons. Yvonne had a quirky sense of humor and was not afraid to speak her mind. She loved spending time with people, especially her family and friends. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister Shirley; and brother Donnis Fetcher. She is survived by her children James Basinger Jr. and Shelly (Chad) Chamberlain; grandchildren Jessica (Caleb) Reece of Chandler, OK. Kody (Ashley) Basinger of Fayetteville, NC., JT & Dawson Basinger of Terre Haute, IN., Emma Chamberlain of Evansville, IN., Alli & Tyler Chamberlain of Owensville, IN.; 5 great grandchildren; siblings Linda Hurt, Gene Fetcher, and David Fetcher. Holders Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Basinger. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Owensville First Christian Church 4680 W. Sate Hwy 168 from 2p-6p with Funeral at 6p. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
